The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a non-profit research and educational institution with a strong scientific and technological orientation, emphasizing international collaborations and cross-disciplinary research and post graduate education. CyI, through its established research centers, addresses challenging issues that are important at both the regional and international levels. Many of its research activities are being carried out in partnership with leading institutions in the respective thematic areas.
Within this context, CyI in cooperation with Advanced Partners Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, University of Helsinki and Commission for Atomic Energy, is establishing the “Climate and Atmosphere Research Centre (CARE-C)” under Horizon 2020 – EMME-CARE TEAMING Grant no. 856612.
CARE-C invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to carry out research as a member of the Innovation Department. The role of the Post-Doctoral Fellow will be to conduct research in the field of nanoparticle/nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, and contribute in securing competitive funding related to the activities of the Innovation Department.
The position will be on a full-time basis for a fixed term of one year, renewable depending on performance and availability of funds. The successful candidate will be under the supervision of the Head of the Innovation Department of CARE-C.
