The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a European non-profit science and technology institution based in Cyprus with a local and regional mission. The research program of the Cyprus Institute is pursued mainly through its three research centers: the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC), the Science and Technology in Archaeology Research Center (STARC), and the Energy Environment Water Research Center (EEWRC). Considerable cross-center interaction is a characteristic of the Institute’s culture.
The CyI invites applications for Scientific Coordinator(s)/Project Officer(s) from highly motivated professionals with strong administrative, organizational and communication skills to advance and coordinate part of its research portfolio. Research projects at CyI involve collaborations with national and international institutions as well as educational and training activities. Description of the position
The Cyprus Institute invites applications for Scientific Coordinator(s)/Project Officer(s) with project management expertise. The Scientific Coordinator(s)/Project Officer(s) will take responsibility for coordinating and supporting the initiation, and implementation of the Cyprus Institute research projects. The successful candidates are expected to drive the implementation of funded projects and communication with partners with minimal guidance.

The appointment will be for a fixed term of one (1) year with a prospect for renewal for an additional two (2) years. The rank and salary range will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. An extension of the appointment can be made depending on availability of funding and performance.

The candidate(s) should have a scientific background suitable for the initiation and administrative management of research projects. Proven experience in the management of research projects will be considered an advantage. The position requires a proactive, creative, independently thinking person with passion for promoting science and technology.
