The Cyprus Institute (CyI) is a European non-profit science and technology institution based in Cyprus and led by an acclaimed Board of Trustees. The research aims of the CyI are represented by three research centers: the Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC), the Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center (STARC), and the Energy Environment Water Research Center (EEWRC). Considerable cross-center interaction is a characteristic of the Institute’s culture.
The Computation-based Science and Technology Research Center (CaSToRC) of CyI invites applications for Computational Scientist(s) with expertise in computation-based science and technology. The position is within the EU H2020 NI40S-Europe project and the successful candidate is expected to participate in the management of the project as well as in the development of strategies for simulation and data management/repositories and to enable research in diverse scientific areas.
The position will be in the rank of post-doctoral fellow for a duration of 3 years, renewable for an additional year depending on project and Institute needs.

The successful candidate(s) will work at CaSToRC with a main focus on developing strategies for the mining and management of large scientific data and/or for developing scalable simulation codes for scientific applications that require high performance computing. S/he will be primarily engaged in the following activities:
